    Strength for Life

    Older Adults getting fit


    The Strength for Life program promotes health and well-being among over 50s through strength and balance training programs.

    The Aquadome is a Tier 1 endorsed Strength for Life provider meaning there is an Exercise Physiologist involved directly with the program; baseline testing is conducted at commencement and after 3 months. Attracts rebates from Health Funds.

    The Aquadome Strength for Life program provides:

    • Supervised, progressive strength and balance training sessions at least twice a week

    • At least one suitably qualified fitness instructor to oversee the session

    • Assessments for all clients by an appropriate fitness professional (in some cases an Exercise Physiologist) and a personalised program.

    • An accessible and safe environment for people 50 years and over

    • An area for participants to socialise before and after the exercise session.


    Aquadome Strength for Life sessions are run:

    Tuesdays - 11:30am -12:30pm

    Wednesdays - 1:30pm - 2:30pm

    Thursdays - 11:30am -12:30pm

    Fridays - 10:30am - 11:30am



    • $7 per session or $70 for 10 session pack

    • Once off $52.95 for a full assessment with an Exercise Physiologist (can be fully covered by Medicare or subsidised by Private Health Cover)
